The cobalt waters of the Pacific Ocean just a few miles off Matapalo Cape are home to the hottest sailfish fishery in the entire world.  You will troll with live bait and are as likely to catch mahi mahi as sailfish.  One black marlin is hooked for every twenty sails, and occasionally blue and white marlin are also caught.  Yellowfin tuna and wahoo are both equally common game fish.  Kill dolphin, wahoo, or tuna for dinner as desired, but the billfish are by local convention strictly catch and release.  Larger roomier boats are pricier, but offshore the extra few feet of length and beam can be welcome.
