For those that have one day to go and see the forest, this is the perfect guided tour. It combines primary and secondary forest, mountain and beach, river, waterfall, and coastline all within a hike of several kilometers a short 45 minute from drive. Cape Matapalo is one of the most breathtaking locations on the peninsula and is filled with wildlife. You are certain to see one or more species of monkey, scarlet macaws, coatimundis. Keep your eyes pealed for toucans, agoutis, and jaguarundis. The forest you will be hiking in is contiguous with Corcovado National Park and has most of the same wildlife as you would observe in the much more distant park. |
